I have a lot of really cool tattoos. I enjoy putting ink on my body in patterns and designs that truly exhibit what I am thinking and feeling on the inside. Tattooing is a great way to showcase to yourself and to the world what you truly and mean. It's a very artistic way to reveal your core, or even just to have some fun!
I get lots of people coming up to me asking how they too can get really neat and interesting tattoos that not only inform other people on the kind of person that you are, but remind you of what you are all about. I distill it into three easy steps.
* Know yourself. What kind of person are you? What are your desires and goals? What are your personal mottoes and signature sayings? What are your most core beliefs and values? These are all really good ideas and inspirations for what you get inked.
* Know the technology. How does a tattoo needle work. How does the instrument work? These things matter as they are going to affect the way that the tattoo artist applies the ink to your skin. It's a smart idea to check on how able an artist is to perform the art that you want.
* Ask the important question. Am I going to want this tattoo in ten, twenty, thirty years from now? Because you must go into this with the attitude that what you are getting is sticking permanently. This is something you me be truly honest with yourself about.
These are the things I always tell people when they come to me for advice on how to handle the process of getting ink and tattoos, or even brands, done on their dermis.
That being said, I have a whole lot of really cool and interesting tattoos and not only do I love them, but everybody else does too. So put my tips to work and let me know how it all goes for you in the end!
